Adventures at the Tri-Circle D Ranch

Publish date: 2024-06-14

Disney and the Old West have a long history together. The original Frontierland in Disneyland featured Attractions like Conestoga wagons and later the Mine Train Thru Nature’s Wonderland. At Walt Disney World, you can see if you’re a dead eye by visiting the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade. During Walt’s life, Disney made live action films like Tonka starring Sal Mineo, Davy Crockett starring Fess Parker, and Westward Ho The Wagons! Classic Disney cartoon westerns include Pecos Bill from the 1948 film Melody Time and A Cowboy Needs a Horse, which was released in 1956. You can even spot Uncle Walt sporting a cowboy hat and boots in a 1962 episode of The Wonderful World of Disney celebrating the Golden Horseshoe Revue.

Today, Guests with a taste for the wild frontier can sate their appetites with a visit to Fort Wilderness and the Tri-Circle D Ranch. For the horse lover, it’s a special treat with a whole heapin’ helpin’ of horse related activities.
