Eminem pumped and Detroit players joked they were at Ford Field as fans takeover angry Packers home

Proud Detroit fans took over Lambeau Field.

Eminem joined the party.

Throw in a frustrated Green Bay supporter pouring beer on the helmet of a celebrating Lions player, and a 34-20 beatdown of the Packers on Thursday Night Football was only part of the story.

“This is Ford Field,’ said Detroit offensive lineman Penei Sewell, taking in all of the visiting blue in the stands as Lions fans took over Lambeau Field.

What’s supposed to be one of the biggest home field advantages in America disappeared as the surging Lions improved to 3-1 this season under fiery head coach Dan Campbell and the new Jordan Love-led Packers fell to a flat 2-2.

“Send us anywhere, line us up against anyone and we feel like we can go in there and beat them,” said Lions quarterback Jared Goff, who was 19-of-28 passing for 210 yards and a touchdown. “That's a good feeling to have."

Marshall Mathers, also known as Eminem, perfectly captured the Lions’ road dominance by proclaiming “Let's f****** go!!!! Detroit” on X and tagging his favorite NFL team.

“It just felt real different coming in with the group of guys that I'm with,” said Lions running back David Montgomery, who rushed for 121 yards and three TDs. “I can tell my son that I beat the Packers, so I'm excited to say that and excited to be a part of this team.”

The game was over at halftime, with Detroit leading 27-3 and boos being heard inside the Packers’ stadium.

It was a historic start for the Lions, who are in early control of the NFC North and coming off a strong 9-8 season during which they almost made the playoffs

After years of being the team with frustrated fans and an underachieving roster that disappointed in big games, things are starting to change for Detroit.

The biggest change has been Campbell, who’s brought pride back to the Lions and has backed up all his tough talk with a confident team that keeps attacking instead of backing down.

The Packers are going in the opposite direction, struggling in a post-Aaron Rodgers world and still seeking a new identity almost a quarter of the way into a new season.

“I think just offensively as a whole we’ve just got to start faster,” said Love, who was 23-of-36 for 246 yards but threw two interceptions and played behind all night.

He added: “We don’t start fast and we kind of get behind and it’s hard running the ball. We get put in situations where you’ve got to throw the ball.”

It was a four-quarter party for the Lions, as they took over the Packers' stadium and embarrassed Green Bay for the world to see.
