After discovering two bodies Thursday night, deputies with the Garland County Sheriff’s Office are looking into a potential murder-suicide.

The office got a call about a shooting at a home in the 300 block of Long Island Drive in Hot Springs at around 11:25 p.m.

When deputies came, they reportedly found two females inside the house who were both unresponsive and appeared to have been shot, identified as Jordan Nutt, 35, and Bailey Nutt, 26.

Jordan had visited the house to talk to their daughter, according to bystanders who spoke with authorities.

Witnesses claimed they heard Bailey and Jordan fighting during the visit and saw the male shoot the female.

All witnesses, according to a press release, ran from the house for protection, dialed 911, and then heard a second gunshot.

According to officials, the Garland County Coroner’s Office arrived on the site and pronounced both people dead.

In anticipation of the autopsy reports from the Arkansas Crime Lab, both bodies were sent there, and an inquiry is still ongoing.
