Sami Zayn gets into heated altercation with fan at WWE live event after being called 'Canadian f****

A wrestling fan was removed from a recent live event at the request of former NXT champion Sami Zayn, who branded him a 'homophobic moron'.

It is believed the individual in question at the house show in Florida called the Quebec-native a 'Canadian f****t', which incensed him.

A video showing Zayn being restrained by security has been widely shared on social media, though he is yet to comment on the incident.

WWE fan John Betz, who was there, said: 'Sami's music hit, the jackass immediately starts chanting 'Canadian 'f****t'.

"There were kids sitting all around and to be acting like a full blown asshole was not cool, Sami did the right thing by giving the guy 1 quick moment to shut up, he chose not to. It’s not hard to not be racist, sexist or homophobic at a wrestling show.

"The guy then started getting in Sami’s face knowing Sami wouldn’t hit him so he asked for security to handle it. It took a bunch of back and forth but finally the guy was removed.

"Sami did come by after the guy was booted and said 'Hey this seat is empty now, what happened?' and laughed.

"That’s also the seat I hopped into to get a pic with Roman. So thanks homophobe man."

It's worth noting Zayn is one of the most philanthropic superstars in WWE today and works tirelessly for his foundation Sami For Syria, which has the aim of launching a mobile medical clinic to treat injured and displaced Syrians.

The former El Generico is currently managing Shinsuke Nakamura to make use of his excellent microphone skills, but he is still very much present on WWE programming.
